I have been training with Max for about 3 years. I wanted to get back in shape and loose some weight. Not only I have lost 30lb, but have been able to do start running again. I have done 8 races in 2 years. But the biggest thing for me was that Max help me to get in shape fo my first bikini competition in May 2014 at age 48 and finishing at second place for my age group.My body fat went from 38% to 20%. I now have a new passion for fitness . He worked a program for me and helped with nutrition and supplements. My family is thrilled for me! He is an excellent trainer and cares very much for his clients wellbeing.
I've been working out with Max Rocans since just before my 50th birthday when I wanted to get into better shape for a trip to surfing camp. That was six years ago and I'm stronger, leaner, happier and healthier thanks to Max. He's been a wonderful coach and friend and keeps my workouts interesting, productive and always challenging!
I've been a client of Max's since 2008, and can't recommend him highly enough. To put it simply, he got me moving. Before I started, I had zero interest in physical activity, was overweight, and was on three separate blood pressure medications. Since then, I've lost quite a bit of weight, have participated in several running events (one of which was a half-marathon), and the gym is now something I look forward to. And I've cut down on the blood pressure meds, though I haven't quite eliminated them; darn genetics. Working with Max has, quite literally, changed my life.
Best. Decision. Ever. I consider myself a fairly active person (I love to dance, hike, take yoga classes, etc.), but I've never considered myself an athlete (never played sports). Enter Max. At first I was just planning on doing a few sessions to familiarize myself with the machines at the gym. Before I knew it, I signed up for 20 sessions, then 30, then another 30. Why? Because Max has shown me what is possible! Max is experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and just a really great guy. I love learning to work with weights and trying new things like MMA. I thoroughly enjoy my workouts with Max and am constantly inspired by him to challenge myself and take things to the next level. He has also given me great tips on how to work through my knee and ankle injuries through rolling and stretching. I can even run again! A nice plus is that, although weight loss has never been my main goal (I simply wanted to become more fit, stronger, and rehab my injuries so I can keep up with my two young kids), people have noticed a change in my body (for the better). My next major goal is to complete a Spartan this year, something I would have never thought possible a year ago. And I can't imagine doing it without Max by my side, to coach me and cheer me on. He's more than your trainer. He's truly your friend.
I have been training with Max for the past five months to help motivate me with lifting weights since it is my least favorite thing to do at the gym. He has been a true professional in helping me with weight lifting routines that I can recreate on my own and he provides suggestions on setting meals plans that can help me get the most out of my workouts. I 100% recommend Max if you are willing to work hard and are ready to get results!
